dbWCE is the abbreviation to database for Windows CE. As it apparent from its name is an application for Windows CE and Windows Mobile devices data management. This product is equivalent to dbWin for Windows.
Data structures so as the design of screens, document templates, and procedures (scripts) needed for running a given application, are generated by the Windows AppDesigner, which is included with the distribution of this product.
At lower level of very simple application, you can design screens, directly associated with tables data, which can result in a few minutes a directory or a price list.
The heart of the system is a powerful expression evaluation subsystem, which allows using a conventional syntax relate very easy to use variable data cells in the database and editing screen fields. This allows, in a more advanced level elaborate designed applications. In the advanced version, which includes development libraries, you can design complete and closed applications.
The application is sold along with a powerful transaction manager for Windows that supports a wide range of data media for communication with the devices. This manager allows you to update in two-way tables of multiple devices. For more advanced communications with SQL databases, you can use WinTransSQL.
